With an anticipated completion date of August 2020, this state-of-the-art student accommodation situated in the heart of the thriving city Coventry, will comprise of 266 cluster bedrooms. The cluster flats of 4 & 7 bedrooms share a spacious lounge, kitchen and dining area. As well as a common area featuring a games zone, study hub and an on-site gym.
In order to comply with Passive Fire Protection requirements Nullifire worked with trusted contractor Protek Interiors to install both SC602 Intumescent Base Coat (On-Site) and SC802 Water Based Intumescent Base Coat (On-Site) to this 2500m2 project. The combination of these products worked well given the challenging circumstances and allowed for Protek Interiors to fully adhere to the fire strategy of the building.
Weather and exposed paint work were the two biggest challenges faced when selecting the correct products for this project, hence the usage of one of our latest addition to the range, SC602 Intumescent Base Coat (On-Site).
Designed for on-site application by airless spray and optimised for 60 minutes, SC602, after suitable drying time can be exposed to the weather for up to 6 months provided that ponding water due to rainfall, condensation or other site/transportation /storage circumstances does not occur. Working closely with our contractors, the technical team at Nullifire completed site inspections to ensure ideal product fit for the student accommodation.

The prominent new build student accommodation is situated on a beautiful riverside walkway, with stunning views and is only a two-minute walk to Coventry University’s main campus and a 10-minute walk to the city centre.
