Rain Screens

A rainscreen is an exterior wall detail where the wall cladding stands off from the moisture-resistant surface of an air barrier applied to the sheeting to create a capillary break and to allow drainage and evaporation.

The rain screen is the wall cladding itself and prevents the wall air/moisture barrier on sheathing from getting wet.

Cavity Barriers

Cavity barriers work to improve a building’s safety by preventing the spread of fire within concealed voids. They provide essential protection whilst also helping to minimise air leakage and heat loss between the external cavity and the separating party wall.
